Introduction
KATTS offers courses through Regular mode of studies. The courses launched are leading to certificate and diploma. which are suitable to the present social set up and job market. The courses are designed after a need assessment exercise. KATTS Via SRC-K will provide certificate to candidates who complete the courses successfully.
Launching Year
The courses through KATTS have been launched with effect from January 2023 academic session. Courses will be offered in January and July sessions every year throughout the state with the help of Authorized training centers under the guidance and supervision of KATTS & SRC-Ks
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum qualification required for admission depends upon the nature of the course.
There is an age limit For our different courses; however the minimum age shall be 18 years.
13-21 for Martial Arts courses
18-27 for Aviation, Hospitality and Travel Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Hotel Management and Catering courses
18-35 for Ayurveda and Panchakarma Assistance courses. 18-40 for Yoga, Beauty Care and Management courses.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
Both English and Malayalam medium are used for the courses and the candidates shall have the choice to select the medium except Aviation, Hospitality and Travel Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management courses.
DURATION OF THE COURSE
Minimum duration for the certificate course will be 6 months while the Diploma courses will have the minimum duration of 1 years. The candidates who incomplete/ score below the desired level can re-appear at the next term-end examination by remitting additional examination fee.
VALIDITY OF ADMISSION/ REGISTRATION
Admission is valid up to four years for the registerd course. The applicant/ student can take up to four chances to complete the course from the date of registration.
PROGRAMME FEE
The fee for each certificate & diploma courses are given in the operational schedule which are available in the training centers.
REFUND
The refund of the programme fee is not possible after the commencement of classes. The request for refund will be considered only under the following conditions.
- If the contact sessions for the programme have not commenced within a period of one months after the payment of fee by the student or before the completion of admission closing period
- If the student has given application for discontinuation with a genuine reason, before the commencement of classes by the traing centre / Study center or KATTS.
APPLICATION FORM AND PROSPECTUS
Application form along with prospectus can be obtained from KATTS/Knowledge parter / ATC’S fee of Rs.1000/-The application and prospectus fee once paid will not be refunded. (N.B: Admission and registration fees are separate)
TERM-END EXAMINATION AND PAYMENT OF EXAMINATION FEE
The KATTS and SRC Community College conducts Term-end Examinations (TEE) twice a year, in the months of June and December. Students will be permitted to appear for the term-end examination subject to the conditions:
- Registration for the courses in which they wish to appear is valid
- Minimum time to pursue the course is elapsed
- Have submitted the required number of assignments before the due dates. An Examination fee is required to be paid in addition to the programme fee.
INTERNSHIP & PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE
The Knowledge partner and ATC’S will provide Internships which carry individual credits and Placement assistance will also be provided to the successful learners.
INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEM
The courses of the KATTS and SRCCC community college are different from those of the other conventional courses. They are mainly learner centered. In this approach learner is the active participant in the teaching-learning process. Main part of the instruction is imparted through regular mode. Assignments, Case studies, Field visits/Observations, Responses, Face to face counseling sessions, internships, Practical sessions, Project work and Contact classes are also included under the programme. In addition, to print materials, Audio- video materials are also in corporated. Practical sessions will be arranged at various locations where sufficient numbers of learners are enrolled Via ATC’S/KP. The expertise and experience of different stakeholders will be utilized for conducting practical sessions and contact classes.
CREDITS AND TRANSFER OF CREDITS
One credit is equivalent to 30 teaching/learning hours. The learner can avail the facility of transfer of credits up to two courses (papers) passed from the same category of examinations in similar subjects. KATTS & SRC-K, SRC CC also acknowledges the previous knowledge gained by a learner by passing him through the process of Recognition, Validation & Accreditation of Prior Learning and give him/her weightage.
CONTACT CLASSES
Eighty percentage attendance in contact classes are compulsory for the courses. In case of shortage of attendance, the learners have to attend the next session before appearing the Term End examination. The ATC/K.P should ensure attendance of their learners in order to conduct the programmes successfully.

The quality of the Courses will be ensured through an effective quality control system in which the following factors are taken into consideration.
- Faculty
- Attendance
- Materials
- Contact Class
- Assignments
LATERAL ENTRY
The learners who have successfully completed the Certificate programme offered by KATTS & SRCCC can join the second semester of the Diploma Programme through lateral entry for selected courses They have to pay the fee of the second semester along with the application fee for getting the new enrolment number. The credits earned by the learner in the Certificate Programme (1st semester) will be transferred to the Diploma Programme.
REAPPEARING FACILITY
The student who fails in any paper may be allowed to re-appear in that particular paper only for a maximum of 4 times within 2 years. If the student fails to pass the examination after four years appearances, he/she will be expected to undergo the course again in the particular subject/area.
TRANSITORY REGULATIONS
There may be chance to improve the course by adding or changing the content and practical. Whenever a course or scheme of instruction is changed in a particular year, two more examinations immediately following thereafter shall be conducted according to the old syllabus / regulations. Candidates who do not appear in the re-examinations or those who fail in them shall take the examinations subsequently according to the changed syllabus / regulations.
PROJECT WORK
The selected courses under KATTS and SRCCC have project works. The details of Project work in each course will be intimated in detail during the contact sessions or through aprogramme guide/hand book, along with course materials.
PRACTICAL
Practical sessions are also envisaged for selected courses. Students can undergo practical in any of the institution approved by the KATTS & SRC Community College. Programme / project guide which comprise the details of assignments and Practical (if any) will be intimated along with course materials.
TERM-END EXAMINATIONS
The term end examination will be conducted after six months for certificate courses and one year for diploma courses. The examination form should be submitted by each learner as specified in the prospectus/ programme guide. The examination centre will be announced /intimated along with the hall ticket. Change in examination centre, may be intimated quite early, exam centre once allotted, is not permitted to change under any circumstance.
PROGRAMME DELIVERY
A combination of strategies is followed for instruction under KATTS and SRC Community College. It is a learner centered approach in which the learner is an active participant in the teaching learning process. The strategies comprise self-instructional written materials, audio video materials, counseling sessions, teleconferences, Practical/ internships, project works etc.
CERTIFICATION
The certification of courses conducted by the SRC, Community College will be done by SRC, Kerala. Students who successfully complete the course will get certificates from SRC Kerala.
